Ever have those ho-hum, average days when nothing special happens? Sure, we all have and at times they get boring. Well today may be another ho-hum boring day for some, but for over 200,000 Alabamians it is a day they love. You just don’t know how good an average, ho-hum day is until you lose your electricity at your home for 4 days. No cooking, no refrigeration, no television. Everything gets out-of-sync. You don’t want to get up as early. It takes longer to dress and get out the door. Life is just a little bit tougher.
I got my power turned back on today. While last week a day like today may have been average, it is a whole lot better than that this week. If the tornados, tropical storms, hurricanes and earthquakes will just by-pass Alabama, I will welcome all of these days I can get.
