At Gathings Law we care about our community and we want to do our utmost to give back to it. January is Poverty Awareness Month. That’s why this month we’re holding a clothing drive. We’re joining the conversation to bring the issue of poverty to the public’s attention. Today, at least 39.7 million Americans live in poverty. In our state alone, over 800,000 Alabamians live in poverty.
So please join us in giving back to our community. All the clothes donated will be given to local organizations that serve those in need in the Birmingham community. We’ll be accepting clothing donations at our office Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 5pm until January 31st.
Clothing of all styles, coats, socks (new), shoes, and undergarments (new) for men, women, and children of all ages are needed. Baby diapers, blankets, and clothing are also needed.
